Coir Doormats
Shake, sweep, or vacuum clean. Shedding will occur, especially at the beginning of use.
Regular vacuuming will help with the loose bristles. Due to the natural materials, keep doormat under a sheltered area and away from harsh exposure to sunlight and the elements such as rain, snow, or ice.

Jute Rugs
Vacuum regularly on a low setting from several directions.
Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Spot clean with mild soap if needed; occasional professional cleaning may be required. Do not dry clean. If the rug gets wet, place it on a flat surface to dry.
Rotate rug occasionally to equalize wear. Avoid direct exposure to harsh sunlight.
Due to the natural fibers, shedding is expected during the initial months of use.
Store your rug by rolling and wrapping it with cloth for protection. If a loose end appears, do not pull; instead, clip with scissors and tie a knot at loose ends.
Rug pad recommended for maximum stability.
